The hand is simply another instrument used to commit "the crime."  The hand is innocent.  The real culprit is our belief system.  Societal norms, our moral code, and the role models who consciously or unconsciously showed us what is acceptable and what isn't bear some responsibility.  Every action devoid of  compassion, empathy, and understanding slowly severs the connections to our soul.
